Subject: Adobe Illustrator 5.5 limps

Hi Folks,

I just discovered that if you hide the *Hyphenation files that Adobe
Illustrator 5.5 will limp under Executor.  There seem to be some
problems with it tracking mouse drags and I'm sure there are other
bugs that I haven't found yet, but I've opened a few sample files and
those display nicely.  Right now I'm doing my work under E/L, but E/D
should be able to do this as well.

Anyone who wants to can make a list of problems that Executor 1.99o7
has with Illustrator 5.5 and send it to [e-mail].  We'll try to
get as many of them fixed by the time 2.0 ships as possible.

Hi,

I uploaded E/L-1.99o7 SVGA from vorlon, (couldn't wait for 1.99p )
to test the speed improvement with respect to X-windows.

Unfortunately it crashes and I have to reboot because the screen
turns black and I can't change to another VC. I tried to capture the
stderr output in a file, but that seems to disable a svga app to
change to graphics mode.

Configuration:
Linux 1.2.1 with serial mouse
svgalib1.2.7
S3 card with GenDac Ramdac

The svga version of DOOM runs fine ..

  Ditto, for a 1.3.7 kernel and ATT21C498 S3 2Mb card.  I can switch to
alternate consoles, login and start up X11.  The process table shows two
executor processes running, I can kill them but nothing restores the text
mode.

howdy folks,

i've been trying to get svga lib 1.2.7 installed on my system but it
doesn't want to work.

i'm running linux 1.2.11, ELF.  the compilations always work and give
minor ignored errors.

if i compile using the ELF makefiles in src and gl things go ok but if i
try to use these i get this error (i was trying to run zgv since it loads
fast).

zgv: can't load library '/usr/lib/libvga.so.1'
        Exec format error
zgv: can't find library 'libvga.so.1'



after make is complete, i move these files to /usr/lib and run ldconfig.

   libvga.a
   libvga.so.1.2.7*
   libvgagl.a
   libvgagl.so.1.2.7*

now, i'm pretty clueless about this library stuff so i'll understand
if you tell me i'm doing the wrong thing.


additionally, if i want to build the aout format i put -b
i486-linuxaout on the CFLAGS line of the makefile.  this appears to do
nothing as the library that comes out is still ELF.

help would be appreciated.
