  5. Only a guess here, but did you run Installer.app while logged in as root?
  6. I'd guess that if you installed it using a non-root login, it wouldn't be
  7. able to make set-uid what it needs to make set-uid, so it would only
  8. work ok when uid didn't need to be set- i.e. when you actually were root...
