- I haven't seen this. I do know that 1.2.13 doesn't do paging as well
- as some of the 1.3.x kernels or the 2.0 kernel. Does your hard drive
- light normally go on when using the hard drive under Linux? It
- doesn't on our system. My guess is paging, but it's only a guess and
- that would mean that your hard drive *would* be active during this
- time.

- Again that sounds like a paging anomaly. The Linux machine I use the
- most has 32 Mb and is running kernel 2.0 (and before that was running
- 1.3.x for a long time). I don't use FVWM, so any of those things
- might be relevant.
