- Here's a Windows95 tip that I wish was
- in one of the readme files that came with
- Executor. It should help you get the best
- possible use out of Executor. It did for me.
- (God knows I tried everything!)
-
-
- After trying 3 top notch Linux OS's with
- E/L (and E/D under DOS) I have come to the
- conclusion that Windows95 is the best way
- to run Executor.
-
- With a shortcut on my desktop to the executor.exe
- file and the following "Properties" set, you can't
- go wrong (even with 8 meg of ram).
-
- The "Memory" tab;
-
- Conventional Memory-Auto
- Initial Environment-Auto
- Expanded(EMS)memory-None
- Extended(XMS)memory-None
- MS-DOS protected-mode(DPMI)memory-13312
-
- And these command line switches;
- eg: c:\executor\executor.exe -nosplash -nosound -applzone 5m
-
- I really only bought Linux (Official RedHat 3.0.3, Slackware 3.0 and
- Linux-FT) just to see if Executor would be better under it, it wasn't.
-
- I hope I helped somebody;)
- G'Day from Australia.
