  16. To you it may have seemed an eternity since when we said that Executor
  17. pre-beta would cost $49 for students and faculty and $99 for everyone
  18. else and today, when the final deadline for these prices has been
  19. announced.  To us it seems it's been twice that long.
  20.  
  21. May 15 (slightly more than a week from today) will be the last day
  22. that we'll be accepting the pre-beta prices.  Beta1 has been made and
  23. has been sent to the duplicators.  We expect to have copies in our
  24. hands on the 15th, but even if we don't, that's the last day that
  25. we'll accept the pre-beta prices.

  27. ******* This section is for people who have not yet licensed Executor ******

  29. So until May 15, the licensing fee for new Executor licensees is:

  32. E/D only    N/A        $49        $99
  33. E/L only    N/A        $49        $99

  37. To the above prices, an additional $25 can be added to receive a copy
  38. of beta1 when it is ready.  NOTE: Previously we were charging an
  39. additional $50 in order to get beta1.  Since advertising that price,
  40. we decided that this is too high.  So, we've lowered it to $25 and
  41. will issue refunds to the people who have already paid $149 for beta1.

  43. After May 15, the licensing fee for new Executor licensees is:

  46. E/D+E/L+E/NS    $149        $149        $149

  48. That's right; you'll get a license that allows you to run one copy of
  49. Executor on any of those three operating systems.  You may not split
  50. the license up though and run E/D and E/L on different machines at the
  51. same time.

  53. NOTE: as we've mentioned several times in the past, we are (at least
  54. temporarily) discontinuing student and educational licenses.  So order
  55. NOW if you are a student or educator and you like the old license
  56. fees.

  60. If you are an Executor 1.<x> licensee and you haven't paid for beta1,
  61. but you'd like to get beta1 sent to you, we will do that for an
  62. additional $25, which includes postage and handling within the U.S.
  63. Postage and handling outside the U.S. is an additional $20.  This $25
  64. beta1 fee will be good until Executor 2 is released.  There are no
  65. plans to produce beta1 on a large scale.

  67. Remember, *all* Executor 1.<x> licensees get Executor 2 sent to them
  68. free of charge when it is ready.  We are making beta1 available to
  69. people for extra money because many people have asked us to do so.
