These are the results of SpeedoMeter and then my opinions. MS-DOS P.R. The only thing I think it's much better under Linux than DOS is the Filesystem support. Hard disk flies under Executor Linux, and you notice that the 1st time you startup executor-svga. And the CD-Rom is much faster too. I have run several apps from CD in Linux. Under MS-DOS I cant do that. In general MS-DOS access to all disk drivers is much slower that Linux. Another thing i have noticed is that Executor respond faster to events under Linux. Playing some arcade games like swoop or Maelstrom you think that MS-DOS version is poor than Linux one. If I had to choose one, I think I will take Linux, but as I dont have to, I choose both! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ___ _ / (_) o | | o \__ _ _ _ | | __ "Macintosh: That little computer / / |/ |/ | | |/ | / \_ which does the same as Executor for \___/ | | |_/|_/|__/|_/\__/ much more money" ,__ __ Technical Engineering Student /| | | Emoreno@encomix.es | | | __ ,_ _ _ _ __ Emilio.Moreno@mest.unizar.es | | | / \_/ | |/ / |/ | / \_ http://www.encomix.es/~emoreno | | |_/\__/ |_/|__/ | |_/\__/
