  30. Well, I think the point is that apple doesn't *want* to have their 
  31. OS running on an intel box.  They came out with PowerPC based macs 
  32. to replace the intel box and do just what you are 
  33. suggesting--porting everything to one platform so that everyone can 
  34. be happy with one box and their favorite OS.  It would be rather 
  35. stupid for apple to port MacOS to X86 because it mean that they are 
  36. working against themselves.
