  29. I think that any reasonably bright person could dump the MAC ROMS and then
  30. "reverse-engineer" them to figure out how to emulate a Mac.

  32. The problem is that it would be difficult to market such a product when all
  33. of your time would be spent in court. Apple would take you apart and
  34. rightly so because such a product would be illegal without a license from
  35. Apple.

  37. The whole point about Executor is that is was developed using totally
  38. "clean room" techniques by people with absolutely no information about
  39. the ROM contents. This makes the product "squeaky clean" from a legal
  40. standpoint.

  42. Given this limitation, I think ARDI has done an incredible job and
  43. produced a fantastic product. The only people who are getting hurt are
  44. unemployed lawyers  :-)
