  2. What is the status of this particular product (the HyperCard Player that

  6. for download, but want to find out if it's supposed to be distributed?

  9. which is a good sign.

  92. I've been playing with a number of programs under Executor/DOS, and I
  93. think I've found some that seem to work (at least to a usable extent).
  94.  
  95. I know that Jered Floyd is maintaining a web page of apps, and I will
  96. submit these to his page eventually, but part of the problem is I have
  97. no idea where I obtained most of these or what their original filenames
  98. are (I have several BBS and commercial file sources that wouldn't be
  99. useful for net users, many filenames had to be converted to 8.3 to get
  100. them onto my FAT machine, and some came off a CD-ROM games collection
  101. and might not be around online at all).
  102.  
  103. Eventually I'll be submitting these to Jered's page with *real* text
  104. descriptions and (hopefully) links to the files (*assuming I finally
  105. find each of the shareware/freeware files on the net somewhere).
  106.  
  107. At any rate, here's the list so far.  I've been looking at graphics
  108. programs and games, mostly.  Sorry that I don't have/provide filenames
  109. or sources, but intelligent seraching on Info-MAC or Filepile or other
  110. web sites or FTP sites should be possible given a program name.

  233. LogicWorks 3.0 loads and runs just fine except that after a number of
  234. menu selections have been added to the menu bar, they dissapear while the
  235. program is still loading and then the last couple of menu items are added
  236. at the beginning of the menu bar starting where the apple logo used to be.
  237. Does anyone know the problem?  It is frustrating to be so close to having
  238. something you need work!  BTW, I just want to say that Executor is a
  239. tremendous piece of software... keep up the excellent work!

  268. The Quix project is for the RISC-based PC's (PREP). I think it emulates
  269. the Mac ROMs and uses the PowerPC processor in the PC to do the actual
  270. processor work, no emulation involved except for some low-level
  271. Mac-specific stuff. It's basically a port, not 100% emulation. Clever.

  309. I suppose this is germane here:  Can you please do floppies as well?  We 
  310. laptop folk may have a hard time finding an accessible CD-ROM drive.  Or 
  311. I suppose ARDI could include a free PCMCIA CD-ROM drive for all laptop 
  312. users, but that doesn't seem in the firm's best interests.  I could be 
  313. wrong.

  315. (Perhaps you could put the CD's contents on a password-protected site, 
  316. at least briefly?  I suppose you couldn't include HFVs on floppies, but 
  317. those would be all shareware, and hence electronically distributable, 
  318. wouldn't they?  The better to be updated?)
