  26. 1.99q3 is in BleedingEdge right now.  We haven't publicized it much
  27. since it fixes an obnoxious printing bug but not that much else.
  28. After we fix the DOS floppy access problem and fix an HFS bug or two,
  29. we should roll a new version, possibly 1.99r (we hadn't planned on
  30. doing this, but we hadn't planned on sound support messing up floppy
  31. access under DOS).

  33. We're also working on the CD-ROM beta release.  Since the beta release
  34. is late, we're still honoring the $99 commercial, $49 student prices
  35. until it's ready, so if you missed the January deadline, and you still
  36. want to get Executor at that price (free copy of Executor 2 sent when
  37. it's ready), act soon.

  93. Interesting.  We've seen this with some Gateways before.  Have you
  94. tried "-nosound" under 1.99q to see if that helps?

  101. Real old programs often directly access the sound hardware that was
  102. present on early Macs.  Newer old programs are probably accessing the
  103. "Sound Driver".  We don't support either of those sound interfaces
  104. yet.  There's no reason we can't, but the sound work was done by a
  105. volunteer and we won't be able to fund future sound development until
  106. after Executor 2 is shipping.
