Hi Folks,
As we were testing 1.99p6 we found out that the "How to Order" menu
item for Stuffit Expander brings up a picture that is improperly
truncated under Executor. The picture should contain ordering
instructions for "Dropstuff Expander" and have more information about
the makers of the range of Stuffit products, but it is largely blank.
Apparently this bug has been present for a while, but it was only
noticed after we had put 1.99p6 together. Since Stuffit Expander is
supposed to be an advertisement for Aladdin's other products, this bug
is a "showstopper". Cotton found the cause of the bug last night but
a correct patch requires writing test code and running in on a Mac.
An incorrect patch might allow this particular picture to be drawn
properly but result in other pictures not working properly, so we have
to do it right.
I left for food and entertainment last night, came back and took a
nap. I'm now back working on this problem, but it's morning and
1.99p6 still isn't out. Once the bug is found it will still take a
few hours of shuffling things around and testing before we can release
1.99p6 and there's still the chance for another showstopper, although
