- I have noticed that on bootup E/L 199o4 tries to read from the cdrom 4 times.
- This is without a cd in the drive. A cd is not mounted anywhere either.
- This takes a substantial amount of time.
- However, if there is a cd in the drive it boots very quickly. Mounted or
- unmounted. If there is a cd mounted and you take it out without
- unmounting it E/L still starts quickly. I know it's a pretty petty thing.
- It just gets annoying hearing the cd drive checking for a cd for 30 seconds.
- Is this normal?
