Message-ID: <Pine.SOL.3.91.950824010832.29791A-100000@plains> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-paper@nacm.com Precedence: bulk I have noticed that on bootup E/L 199o4 tries to read from the cdrom 4 times. This is without a cd in the drive. A cd is not mounted anywhere either. This takes a substantial amount of time. However, if there is a cd in the drive it boots very quickly. Mounted or unmounted. If there is a cd mounted and you take it out without unmounting it E/L still starts quickly. I know it's a pretty petty thing. It just gets annoying hearing the cd drive checking for a cd for 30 seconds. Is this normal? John E B good
