  11. recently i posted an offer to print any postscript files generated by 
  12. E/DOS on my linux machine.  basically, i just did lpr file.ps and the 
  13. printer does the rest - nothing special here is my point.

  15. well, i was sent a .ps file from person using Exec/DOS who was unable to 
  16. print the file.

  18. i printed the file in seconds without any problems.

  20. here's my setup in case your wondering.

  22.   computer : linux machine connect to printer via network 
  23.   printer  : HP Laserjet 4si
  24.  
  25. additionally, i was able to obtain the exact same printout by using our 
  26. HP Laserjet Utility program on one of our quadras, printing to a 
  27. different HP Laserjet 4si.
  28.  
  29. so, it seems the files produced by E/D are ok, perhaps DOS or the 
  30. specific printers you are using are choking on the files.
