  13. recently i posted an offer to print any postscript files generated by 
  14. E/DOS on my linux machine.  basically, i just did lpr file.ps and the 
  15. printer does the rest - nothing special here is my point.

  17. well, i was sent a .ps file from person using Exec/DOS who was unable to 
  18. print the file.

  20. i printed the file in seconds without any problems.

  22. here's my setup in case your wondering.

  24.   computer : linux machine connect to printer via network 
  25.   printer  : HP Laserjet 4si
  26.  
  27. additionally, i was able to obtain the exact same printout by using our 
  28. HP Laserjet Utility program on one of our quadras, printing to a 
  29. different HP Laserjet 4si.

  31. so, it seems the files produced by E/D are ok, perhaps DOS or the 
  32. specific printers you are using are choking on the files.
