It has been suggested that we implement an option that zeros out unused blocks, and it's a good suggestion, but it's a lower priority task than many other things on our plate, getting Photoshop 3 running, for instance. BTW, as you may be able to tell from this response, I'm approximately one week behind in answering non-critical mail.
