  12.         Just thought I'd mention a quicker way to get E/D1.99n up and
  13. running under OS/2 warp (although anyone who's struggled to get warp fully
  14. functional may already have worked it out!). Instead of the somewhat
  15. tiresome method of booting a virtual DOS session from floppy (I'm always
  16. misplacing the damned disk),  you can set up an DOS boot disk image file on
  17. your hard disk & use it instead. This methods a bit quicker and a lot more
  18. convienient. 
  19.         All that you need to do is create a DOS boot disk with autoexec &
  20. config files set to your needs
  21. (but remember that your need DEVICE=C:\os2\mdos\fsaccess.sys to get to HPFS
  22. partitions) and then
  23. open an OS/2 command session. From here all you need to do is type VMDISK A:
  24. DOS.IMG, and the file
  25. DOS.IMG will be created in the current directory. Finally, change (or
  26. create) your Executor Icon's settings
  27. to boot DOS not from A: but from C:\...\DOS.IMG.
  28.         Hey-Presto! Executor boots quicker (and won't take the system down
  29. when those buggy apple applications crash the finest piece of engineering
  30. since the wheel!!!).
