  14.         Just thought I'd mention a quicker way to get E/D1.99n up and
  15. running under OS/2 warp (although anyone who's struggled to get warp fully
  16. functional may already have worked it out!). Instead of the somewhat
  17. tiresome method of booting a virtual DOS session from floppy (I'm always
  18. misplacing the damned disk),  you can set up an DOS boot disk image file on
  19. your hard disk & use it instead. This methods a bit quicker and a lot more
  20. convienient. 
  21.         All that you need to do is create a DOS boot disk with autoexec &
  22. config files set to your needs
  23. (but remember that your need DEVICE=C:\os2\mdos\fsaccess.sys to get to HPFS
  24. partitions) and then
  25. open an OS/2 command session. From here all you need to do is type VMDISK A:
  26. DOS.IMG, and the file
  27. DOS.IMG will be created in the current directory. Finally, change (or
  28. create) your Executor Icon's settings
  29. to boot DOS not from A: but from C:\...\DOS.IMG.
  30.         Hey-Presto! Executor boots quicker (and won't take the system down
  31. when those buggy apple applications crash the finest piece of engineering
  32. since the wheel!!!).
