It is not a complete solution, though, since some file types *must* be opened with File Open in certain circumstances. For example, dBase program files (*.prg) if opened with the above method, will be executed. If I want to edit the .prg file I have to open it with File Open. This sounds like a general bug in Executor to me, in one particular method of opening files. Hope you get it sorted out soon! Thanks for the hint... Tim.
