Thank you for registering. We have a 30-day money back return policy, so if we can't solve your problem, you'll still be able to return it and get your money back. If we can get FoxBase to run, I think you will indeed prefer Executor on your machine to those classics. Tim> So, I set to work installing a few Mac programs, including Tim> FoxBase. Anyone Tim> got any ideas? Here's the rub. We don't have a copy of FoxBase to test with, and right now we're fairly broke, so we can't run out and buy one (that should change within a few weeks). However, 1.99m is due out soon, and it has many filesystem bugs fixed, so there's a chance (although I suspect it is < 50%) that FoxBase 2 will just work, once we release 1.99m. However, if after 1.99m is released, it still doesn't allow FoxBase 2 to run, we'll try to work with you to see if we can't pin down exactly what is going wrong with the filesystem to confuse FB so. In addition, since this will take some time, if after working with us, you still decide you want to return Executor, we'll honor your request. We don't always make offers like this, but FoxBase is an application that we really would like to work, and we also like to reward people who do pay the license fee for Executor. Tim> PS... had some trouble printing too... says it can't find a Tim> printer. I thought that Executor/Linux used the lpr Tim> mechanism to print? Or do I need to set something up first? Printing under Executor/Linux in 1.99k is broken. It should work better in 1.99m. ================== 1.99m Status Report ================== 1.99m is running over here, however, testing has shown that about five out of fifty bug fixes that we applied did not actually correct the bug they were meant to correct. At this point we've fixed enough bugs that we're willing to release 1.99m as is, but I have to put together some paperwork for a BIG COMPANY, and that momentarily is taking precedence over getting 1.99m out the door. --Cliff ctm@ardi.com
