  35. If we can get FoxBase to run, I think you will indeed prefer Executor
  36. on your machine to those classics.

  44. Here's the rub.  We don't have a copy of FoxBase to test with, and
  45. right now we're fairly broke, so we can't run out and buy one (that
  46. should change within a few weeks).

  48. However, 1.99m is due out soon, and it has many filesystem bugs fixed,
  49. so there's a chance (although I suspect it is < 50%) that FoxBase 2
  50. will just work, once we release 1.99m.

  52. However, if after 1.99m is released, it still doesn't allow FoxBase 2
  53. to run, we'll try to work with you to see if we can't pin down exactly
  54. what is going wrong with the filesystem to confuse FB so.

  56. In addition, since this will take some time, if after working with us,
  57. you still decide you want to return Executor, we'll honor your
  58. request.

  60. We don't always make offers like this, but FoxBase is an application
  61. that we really would like to work, and we also like to reward people
  62. who do pay the license fee for Executor.

  68. Printing under Executor/Linux in 1.99k is broken.  It should work
  69. better in 1.99m.

  73. 1.99m is running over here, however, testing has shown that about five
  74. out of fifty bug fixes that we applied did not actually correct the
  75. bug they were meant to correct.  At this point we've fixed enough bugs
  76. that we're willing to release 1.99m as is, but I have to put together
  77. some paperwork for a BIG COMPANY, and that momentarily is taking
  78. precedence over getting 1.99m out the door.
