    That's what I thought about while reading a Computerworld which
mentioned that the people behind Ram Doubler are trying the same thing.

    Mat, if you could write native code emulation under the Power Mac
for the Synthetic CPU and integrate that into the Power Mac System...
there's a retail product hiding in there.  It's a side avenue, but one that
might be worth looking into.

    (Besides, if Executor can make native code for the i386, arguably
the most complex 32-bit architecture to write assembly for, it should be
portable to the power mac...)

    Just thinking (I seem to do a lot of that sometimes... :)

along the same lines, i was kinda hoping that Apple was going to
exchange the syth cpu technology for the rights to reverse engineer the ROMS or
something.  since apple knows that their 680x0 emulation sux, i thought they
might be considering such an option.

that would be pretty cool for both apple users and executor users.

    Agreed... if ARDI and the MAE department could strike a
technology exchange deal, that would improve the quality of both products
dramatically.

    I wonder if that's what Cliff's meeting with the MAE department
was for...?  (Well, he did announce the System 7.5 project as soon as he
returned from it...)

    That would be really cool.

that's EXACTLY when i thought of it.  maybe it's not too far fetched.
'course we may be starting rumors akin to the Michael Jordan's coming back
rumors. [well he probably is cause there's been no denials yet... :)]

    The new Infomagic distribution (to be available 3/31) will have a
copy of Executor/Linux shareware on it.  This was in the advertisement (it
was the bottom line).

    (It may be wise for ARDI to get them 1.99k if they don't have it
already).

it under XFree 3.1.1's monochrome X server.

Last I read, the new version of MAE (coming out soon, I think) has a
dynamic binary recompiler in it (improving perf by 50% or so). Not sure
how this compares with ARDIs synth. CPU.

Does anyone have any experience with using Executor with Authorware
Professional 2.2?  It seems that the name of the window changes to
authorware, but after a few seconds it just puts the click which filename
you want to run stuff back up.  No warning or error messages of any kind.

I've also tried to run a packaged file created by Authorware, it just
draws the logo and hangs there, apparently eating a lot of memory and
doing nothing.

Any ideas?
