  9.           faculty, staff and educational institutions: $50,

  14. We're still fighting with DOS extenders and putting the finishing
  15. touches on our serial number/authorization key stuff, but when 1.99j
  16. comes out (1.99i was not made available to the general public) it
  17. should be very easy to administer Executor/Linux site licenses.

  19. There are also a whole bunch of bug fixes (e.g. you get proper colors
  20. under Executor 4).

  41. I have to agree, most piracy protection has the effect of frequently annoying
  42.  the personthat buys a copy of a product while slightly amusingthe pirate.  I
  43. like the idea of serial number activation, it stops the temptation of most
  44. honest folks without becoming a burden...

  74. IP addresses and ethernet addresses are used by some companies, but I
  75. personally find such licensing schemes much too restrictive.  Besides,
  76. it's not the Linux users that we're worried about anyway (at least
  77. right now).

  114.     I'm aware of TIA's scheme... that's why I brought up (I think) 
  115. using a credit card number as a password.  You were right though... it's 
  116. easier to have something else for TIA to go on than executor.  BTW, I use 
  117. TERM more than TIA nowadays too (especially since I now have my own 
  118. 486/mostly Linux box...)
