  4. Well, ftp to ftp.cs.unm.edu and look in /pub/ardi/Executor_<your system>
  5. There's a README, FAQ, and Notes, all helpful and will give you all the
  6. details with progress and compatibility and all. In general, it seems to
  7. still have a lot of limitations, most importantly System 7.0+ support,
  8. but that's coming. Hope this helps.

  29.     I just got a new 486/66 here and installed Executor/Linux 1.99h 
  30. on it with no difficulties running it.
  31.     
  32.     The only difference between the two setups is that the one which 
  33. had the memory problem was using UMSDOS (and I got an ATI Mach32 board 
  34. for this one, altough I know it wasn't the video causing the problems 
  35. since I tried generic XFree Servers...)
  36.  
  37.     (I loaded the same Slackware 2.1.0 release.)
  38.  
  39.     Therefore, I now believe that Executor/Linux has a problem 
  40. working with the UMSDOS filesystem.  This is probably an internal bug in 
  41. the UMSDOS filesystem, but it could be fixed within Executor.

  63. Hi there.  I recently got the Executor Linux 1.99 demo on the InfoMagic 
  64. Slackware CDs, and happy to discover that there existed Macintosh 
  65. emulators for both Linux and DOS.  I have some questions about the 
  66. emulator though...
  67.  
  68. 1) Does it currently or will it support System 7 in the near future?
  69.  
  70. 2) Will HyperCard 2.2 run on it?
  71.  
  72. 3) I ran the Linux demo on a 386DX/40 and it was very slow (as expected of
  73.    course).  Does the emulator run substantially better on higher CPUs?
  74.    I'm considering buying a Pentium 90.  With this chip and Executor and
  75.    16 MB of RAM, which Macintosh system would this setup be comparable to?

  77. 4) Which of the two versions, Executor/DOS or Executor/Linux is faster,
  78.    more stable and more recent?

  80. 5) Where can I get a copy of the Executor/DOS demo?
