  1. Hi Kurt and others,

  3. We know that with some of the more recent versions of Executor/DOS,
  4. we've given some people more functionality at the expense of others.
  5. With some effort on our part we should be able to keep the new
  6. functionality *without* losing what we already had.  It might be
  7. another week or two before you see that, since Mat's been taking a
  8. little vacation of late and I've been taking a little sick leave.
  9.  
  10. The current implementation of "-noclock" does not do what the old one
  11. did.  As such, there's no reason to use it under 1.99h, but starting
  12. with 1.99i and beyond there's a slim chance that it will make some
  13. apps work properly.

  50. What happened is that we had an agreement with some investors to provide us  
  51. with a certain amount of money in a certain amount of time, or so we thought.   
  52. We eventually got the money, but it wasn't when we thought it would be, so  
  53. the most opportune time for us to build a copy of 1.3 and send it to all our  
  54. existing 1.x customers came and went without us having the capital necessary  
  55. to do the duplication and mass mailing.

  57. On the other hand, many of the things that made 1.99x less attractive than  
  58. what would have been 1.3 have either already been fixed, or will be fixed  
  59. soon.  I can't speak about the games, but the Word bug that you mention is  
  60. well known and should be fixed for 1.99i.  If we hadn't had so much sickness  
  61. and vacation time over the last couple months, it would be fixed by now.
