  6. Yeah, I've gotten a real work with Cricket Graph under Executor/DOS 1.2 
  7. (unfortunately, it won't work under 1.99x experimental versions, but Ardi 
  8. people are confident of fixing this flaw.  Even under 1.2, you can't use 
  9. cut&paste feature of it, though).  I ran Executor/DOS under Window's DOS 
  10. box, made some graphs, and saved them as PICT format graph files.  I used 
  11. Corel Draw for Win to read and edit the PICT files created by Cricket Graph, 
  12. then pasted them on Word and PowerPoint for Win to create a paper and some 
  13. slides for presentation.  I would say this is a real work;-)

  15. Now I'm trying to enhance/analyze some microscopic images using NIH Image
  16. that runs under Executor/DOS 1.99h.  Some problems still exist with it, but
  17. most of the functions seem to be working fine.  NIH Image can generate
  18. PostScript output as a disk file, so one can print the processed images
  19. even though Executor/DOS itself doesn't support printing.

  41.     I remember a few months ago there were plans to merge the 
  42. executor 1.2e source tree with the new synthetic CPU, and release a 
  43. version 1.3.

  45.     I'd still like to have a copy of 1.3 (if it's possible to make 
  46. one...).  I'm wondering why it hasn't been released (IMHO, some stuff 
  47. such as word 5.0 and some games ran better or more reliabily under 1.2e 
  48. than 1.99x and I'd like to see that merged with the fast CPU!)

  50.     I think the original B&W video code is a bit faster under some 
  51. applications than the color one, and I'd like to be able to use both.

  53.     (My problem with Word 5.0 is that after some dialogs the UI 
  54. crashes - this is under 1.99h, and it's the About Word and the Summary 
  55. Info dialog.  The system just hangs after those, but Alt-Shift-5 still 
  56. works.)

  79. I am trying to run 1.99c for Linux... It seems I had to upgrade to 
  80. XFree386-3.1 to get certain libraries... in any case, I get the following 
  81. error messages when I run executor:

  85. repeated over and over again as executor loads.  Then, I do get the 
  86. initial screen.

  88. When I move my pointer into the executor window, the whole screen changes 
  89. over to "Mac colors"... and the message starts repeating again.
