- Executor/DOS 1.2e does not check for non-HFV filesystems until you
- explicitly ask it to by typing Left-Alternate/SHIFT/2. This applies
- to floppy disks, SCSI disks and CD-ROMs. You can get the old
- behaviour (that checks every time a standard get/put dialog box is
- brought up) by adding the "-drivecheck" to the command line.
-
- The next release of Executor will be halfway between what the old
- version of Executor did (check every time) and what 1.2e does (only
- check when you type Cmd-Shift-2). It will check for disks once at
- startup time and will also check each time you dismiss the box that
- you get when you eject a floppy. All other checks will only be made
- when you type Cmd-Shift-2. It will honor the "-drivecheck" switch
- just like 1.2e does, if you want.

- I found that the latest update I got off the net works very
- well with my 486 running OS/2. Unfortuantely, that is
-
- because it no longer can access the floppy dirves (no access
- under DOS either). Previuosly, it would spend some time
- trying to access my B: 51/4 drive after every attempt to
-
- read the disks.
