  14. Executor/DOS 1.2e does not check for non-HFV filesystems until you  
  15. explicitly ask it to by typing Left-Alternate/SHIFT/2.  This applies  
  16. to floppy disks, SCSI disks and CD-ROMs.  You can get the old  
  17. behaviour (that checks every time a standard get/put dialog box is  
  18. brought up) by adding the "-drivecheck" to the command line.

  20. The next release of Executor will be halfway between what the old  
  21. version of Executor did (check every time) and what 1.2e does (only  
  22. check when you type Cmd-Shift-2).  It will check for disks once at  
  23. startup time and will also check each time you dismiss the box that  
  24. you get when you eject a floppy.  All other checks will only be made  
  25. when you type Cmd-Shift-2.  It will honor the "-drivecheck" switch  
  26. just like 1.2e does, if you want.

  43. I found that the latest update I got off the net works very
  44. well with my 486 running OS/2.  Unfortuantely, that is 
  45.  
  46. because it no longer can access the floppy dirves (no access
  47. under DOS either).  Previuosly, it would spend some time
  48. trying to access my B: 51/4 drive after every attempt to 
  49.  
  50. read the disks.
