  33. We're working on getting 1.3 out the door.  It was scheduled for December  
  34. release but has slipped a little.  It should be out in early January.
  35.  
  36. New features include:

  38.     Serial driver support (i.e. "Mac" programs can talk to modems)
  39.  
  40.     An accelerated graphics mode (greatly speeds scrolling, good for games)
  41.  
  42.     Some sound manager routines
  43.  
  44. and hopefully

  46.     support for IPT's filesystem and NS 3.0's filesystem (still working on  
  47. this one)

  49. In addition, more programs will work than before and many quirks will have  
  50. disappeared.

  52. Although we're not spending much time making sure that games work, it does  
  53. look like Lemmings, Crystal Quest and Leprechaun will be playable and  
  54. challenging with Executor 1.3.

  101. Why not switch to the NeXT based accounting package available?
  102. There is one called Fiscal Diminsion that I'm using.  The edu price is $50-$75
  103. and it's pretty good.   I was using Quicken under SoftPC.

  105. I would guess that if you have a lot of Mac applications the approach you use is  
  106. acceptable.  I don't have a great need for Mac software and have tried to convert 
  107. my software, as packages became available to the NeXT.

  109. I have played with Executor and I like the product I still like the native NeXT
  110. interface over running something for a Mac (sic) on a NeXT.

  112. BTW - Has anyone tried to get Logic Works to run under Executor.  If it did run
  113. I would be inclined to get a copy of Executor for that one program.  There is
  114. no designe entry or digital simulation for the NeXT.
