  17. The 1986 COSMOS FILE series consists of 6 parts, including the introduction,
  18. covering all major Service Orders, Work Orders, Reports, Facility and Circuit
  19. Alteration, COSMOS-N/PREMIS transactions and a complete list of all the
  20. facility prefixes.  The 1986 file series is intended for the serious COSMOS
  21. hacker.  (Not too serious)

  35.                         INTRO TO SERVICE ORDER INPUT

  38. Under COSMOS software version 8.X there are new input procedures for SOE's.
  39. Although these are mostly in the area of error handling, they require a bit
  40. of discussion, seperate from the basic input.
  41.  
  42.     Error Handling
  43.     --------------
  44.       Service order transactions interact with the user more frequently in
  45.       REV 8.X.  Each time the transaction is ready for a new input, it will
  46.       respond with and underscore "_" at the beginning of the new line.  This
  47.       indicates that the preceding line is correct.
  48.       If an error does occur, the transaction will respond with an error
  49.       message and prompt for correction.  When an error occurs, you have
  50.       4 choices.
  51.       1.  Re-enter the entire field correctly.
  52.       2.  Enter line-feed to ignore, (checks rest of line)
  53.       3.  Enter a ";" to disregard the present circuit.
  54.       4.  Enter a "." the transaction will disregard all input, and exit.

  56.    H-LINE inputs.

  58.       H-LINE input for the service order trio SOE/CSA/TSA is being rigidly
  59. defined in 8.0 according to three categories.  These categorys contain
  60. fundamentally different types of order/facility information.
  61.      Category 1: ORD, OT, DD, FDD,J OC, DT, SG, EO, LC
  62.      Category 2: US, FEA, CCF, CAT, BTN, SS, AO, RZ, FR, GP/CG, CTX/CG/MG/NNX,
  63.                  LDN, RTI.
  64.      Category 3: FW, RW
  65.      Category 1 items are primary, once defined they cannot be changed
  66.                 by conflicting category 2, and 3 lines.

  98. SOE - Service Order Establishment
  99.     - Establishes a pending service order.  The types of orders are; NC, CD,
  100.       CH, F, T, SS, RS, R, RF.  Reassociations are treated as change orders.
  101.     - H-lines must contain ORD, DD, and OT.  Optional facilities; FW, RW, FDD
  102.       AO, FR, SG, and either DT or OC.
  103.     - I and O lines may contain; US, FEA, CP, OE, TN, RZ, NNX, PL, TP, TK, BL, #     SE, CON, MR, BTN, RC, RE, RT,STC, STN, STO, CCF, LCC, and RTI.
  104.     - ESS orders requiring coordination by the recent change input center may  #    be flagged with an input of "RW C".

  148.     - Order number must refer to the latest version.  The H-line circuit ID
  149.       identifys the order.  Valid circuit identifiers are; TN, XN, PL, CP, OE,
  150.       and TK.

  168.       and SG.

  194.       the TN supplied will be modified to reserved if ST is specified on the H-#     line.
