  3.  Introduction:
  4.  
  5.      What is PCP?  PCP stands for PC Pursuit.  This is an online service which
  6.   for a nominal fee allows you to call almost anywhere in the continential US.
  7.   The main restriction is that you must call via data, i.e. a modem.  What you
  8.   must do is call the node nearest you and then follow the instructions in the
  9.   next section.

  12.   Instructions:
  13.  
  14.         When you connect with the TeleNet node type "@<CR>" (<CR> stands for
  15.   Carriage Return).  Hit return until you get the prompt "@".  This is the
  16.   telenet prompt.  At the telenet prompt you may do one of the following:

  18.         1> Hang-Up.  Simply type "HANG<CR>"
  19.  
  20.         2> Connect with an outdial.
  21.  
  22.         3> Disconnect with an outdial.  Simply type "D<CR>"
  23.  
  24.         4> Use the various set commands.  (This will be covered in the
  25.            next issue of PCP list)

  27.   Connecting with an Outdial:

  29.         At the "@" prompt type the following:

  31.                 C D/XXXXX/YY,PCPZZZZZ
  32.  
  33.         XXXXX = Outdial Specifier (PCP on the lisings)
  34.         YY = Baud Rate
  35.         ZZZZZ = Your PCP User Number
  36.  
  37.         You will then be prompted for you password.  If the password is
  38.         correct you will be given one of the following:
  39.  
  40.        D/XXXXX,YY BUSY 00 00  (The Outdial is busy)
  41.                       (^^ ^^ these vary)
  42.  
  43.        D/XXXXX,YY CONNECTED   (You are connected to the Outdial)
  44.  
  45.        D/XXXXX,YY NOT OPERATING 00 00  (The Outdial is under repair)
  46.  
  47.   Once connected to an Outdial you must type: "ATZ<CR>" "<Control-E><CR>"
  48.  
  49.   You should then get the "*" prompt from here you can do 5 things:

  51.         1> Dial.  Simply type "D,NNNNNNN<CR>"  (NNNNNNN = Phone Number)
  52.  
  53.         2> Re-Dial. Simply type "R<CR>".  You will be prompted for # of
  54.            redials.
  55.  
  56.         3> Return to the TeleNet Prompt.  Simple type "@<CR>"
  57.  
  58.         4> Get a menu. Simply type "?<CR>".
  59.  
  60.         5> Set parameters.  Type "O<CR>".
