  2. MEAL-MASTER README! FILE
  3.  
  4.         1.  Print or view the MMQUICK.DOC file for instructions on how
  5.             to get started using Meal-Master.
  6.  
  7.         2.  Print or view the WHATS.NEW file to see what features have
  8.             been added or changed in this release.
  9.  
  10.         3.  If you have been using a previous version of Meal-Master (or
  11.             Meal-Meister), with a version number less than 5.01, then
  12.             your current working disk or hard disk directory will
  13.             contain the file MM.COM and possibly the file MM.000.
  14.             
  15.             It is important that the file MM.COM NOT be present in the
  16.             drive/directory you intend to run the new version (5.01 or
  17.             higher) of Meal-Master from.  Version 5.01 and higher of
  18.             Meal-Master consists of one program file, MM.EXE.  If both
  19.             the new (MM.EXE) and old (MM.COM) files are present on the
  20.             disk/directory when you type "MM" and press return, the NEW
  21.             PROGRAM WILL BE IGNORED, AND THE OLD PROGRAM WILL BE RUN
  22.             INSTEAD.

  24.             If either or both of the MM.COM or MM.000 files are present,
  25.             YOU SHOULD DELETE THEM, or move them to a another disk or
  26.             directory, before attempting to use version 5.01 or higher
  27.             of Meal-Master.

  29.             Alternately, you may wish to create a new working disk (or
  30.             directory) and copy your database files (*.MMF) to the new
  31.             disk or directory, along with the new program file, MM.EXE.
  32.  
  33.         4.  You must have the file CONFIG.SYS in the root directory
  34.             of your boot disk, and it must contain the statement FILES=xx,
  35.             where xx is a number that is at least 11.  If this file is 
  36.             missing, does not contain the FILES= statement, or specifies
  37.             a value less than 11, Meal-Master may not perform all functions.
