  2.              GENERAL SOFTWARE EMBEDDED DOS 6-XL [tm] FEATURES

  4. Embedded DOS 6-XL is our newest MS-DOS compatible embeddable operating
  5. system for real-time and embedded systems based on PC (Intel 80x86)
  6. architecture.  Embedded DOS 6-XL runs DOS programs, supports the MS-DOS
  7. device driver model, and improves on DOS architecture by providing
  8. reentrancy and additional APIs for real-time programming.

  10. Embedded DOS 6-XL is the "incredible embeddable" MS-DOS-compatible
  11. operating system, with support for ROM disks, REMOTE disks, a resident
  12. debugger, Advanced Power Management, and configurable system that lets
  13. the developer decide which DOS features should be enabled, and which
  14. should be compiled out of the system to save space.  And unlike other
  15. DOS operating systems, Embedded DOS 6-XL ships with full source code
  16. in the standard kit, not as an expensive afterthought beyond the reach
  17. of most project's budgets.

  19. The Embedded DOS 6-XL operating system comes in two Adaptation Kit
  20. forms that let our developers choose how much flexibility they want
  21. in their operating system.  We can provide BINARY kits with minimal
  22. configuration capabilities; or for a little more, FULL SOURCE kits
  23. that unleash the ability to reconfigure the DOS with more than 70
  24. source-level options, and even reassemble the DOS, and/or recompile
  25. COMMAND.COM, the utility programs, and device drivers.  Customers
  26. using our FULL SOURCE Adaptation Kit have access to the full source
  27. code to the entire Embedded DOS 6-XL operating system.
