  8. 4Acornet is a suite of software which will allow you to use the
  9. 4Internet over a dial-up connection.  It is not a single application,
  10. 4but a convenient meshing together of a number of applications

  45. 4EasyMail is an Off-Line Mail Reader (OLR) for RISCOS.  It was

  47. 4application. Currently, EasyMail supports ArcBBS mail packets,
  48. 4UseNet news packets, Internet E-mail packets, Internet/UseNet access
  49. 4via CIX.

  70. 4FreeTime is a simple program that uses the internet time protocol
  71. 4(see RFC 868) to read the time from a remote time server.  Once the
  72. 4time has been read, it will compare it with the time on your local
  73. 4computer. If the times differ by less than a specified amount,
  74. 4(5 seconds by default) it doesn't set your computers clock.
  75. 4If the times differ by more than a specified amount (120 seconds by
  76. 4default), then FreeTime will bring up a window enquiring whether or
  77. 4not it should set your computers clock. (This is to guard against it
  78. 4setting the time to something totally wrong!)  Otherwise, it sets
  79. 4you local clock so that it agrees with the time from the remote
  80. 4server, and brings up a window saying to - which disappears either
  81. 4after 5 seconds, or when you click on it.
