  6.     Not so long ago I was lucky enough
  7. to have some of my WorldBird Cards
  8. published on Loadstar #228 (2004). I
  9. have a couple more here for you, these
  10. two are particular favorites of mine.
  11. Previous issues of Loadstar that
  12. carried some cards were #195 (2000).

  14.     I hope you will enjoy the art work
  15. in these, and maybe you might even use
  16. them yourself. They come up best when
  17. printed with a six-pass printer driver
  18. like EX-800 v3.5 (do use an old ribbon
  19. though). The cards have provided me
  20. with many hours of pleasure whilst
  21. creating them, and a lot of special
  22. people tell me that they love
  23. receiving the cards from me,
  24. especially now that I am coloring them
  25. in with some wonderful glitter gel
  26. pens.

  29. Who Made The Birds
  30.  
  31.     Last time I told you who
  32. originally made the bird pictures used
  33. in the World Birds cards. It is still
  34. art by by Roger Detaille, whom all
  35. Loadstar readers know hails from St.
  36. Therese in Quebec, Canada, so I won't
  37. go into the whole spiel again, I will
  38. just let you go and enjoy them.

  40.     There are lots more Birds,
  41. Flowers, Cartoons, and even Orchids in
  42. the Art that I have here. If you want,
  43. I will share as many as I can with you
  44. before the last issue of #240 comes
  45. around, so that you can have as much
  46. fun on your Commodores with GEOS as
  47. I do.

  49.     As usual, I had lots of fun
  50. compiling these Cards. My whole
  51. Commodore and GEOS system keeps
  52. working at its best for me. Just the
  53. way I like it.

  63. released GEOS as a free download! If
  64. you haven't tried it with a SuperCPU
  65. and JiffyDOS, you are probably still
  66. under the impression that GEOS is slow
  67. and clunky.

  69. Don't say that around Dale Sidebottom.
  70. With GEOS (and Wheels), he can use
  71. a PostScript printer to produce
  72. [anything] a PC or Mac can do.
  73. Anything. Our dear C-64 is a real
  74. alternative to any other platform --
  75. and an alternative that we can "get
  76. into" and try anything our minds can
  77. imagine.
