- World Bird Cards 2
- by Jane M. Voskamp - Jones
-
-
- Not so long ago I was lucky enough
- to have some of my WorldBird Cards
- published on Loadstar #228 (2004). I
- have a couple more here for you, these
- two are particular favorites of mine.
- Previous issues of Loadstar that
- carried some cards were #195 (2000).
-
- I hope you will enjoy the art work
- in these, and maybe you might even use
- them yourself. They come up best when
- printed with a six-pass printer driver
- like EX-800 v3.5 (do use an old ribbon
- though). The cards have provided me
- with many hours of pleasure whilst
- creating them, and a lot of special
- people tell me that they love
- receiving the cards from me,
- especially now that I am coloring them
- in with some wonderful glitter gel
- pens.
-
-
- Who Made The Birds
-
- Last time I told you who
- originally made the bird pictures used
- in the World Birds cards. It is still
- art by by Roger Detaille, whom all
- Loadstar readers know hails from St.
- Therese in Quebec, Canada, so I won't
- go into the whole spiel again, I will
- just let you go and enjoy them.
-
- There are lots more Birds,
- Flowers, Cartoons, and even Orchids in
- the Art that I have here. If you want,
- I will share as many as I can with you
- before the last issue of #240 comes
- around, so that you can have as much
- fun on your Commodores with GEOS as
- I do.
-
- As usual, I had lots of fun
- compiling these Cards. My whole
- Commodore and GEOS system keeps
- working at its best for me. Just the
- way I like it.
-
- Yours truly,
- Jane.

-
-
- [Dave's Note]: Maurice Randall has
- released GEOS as a free download! If
- you haven't tried it with a SuperCPU
- and JiffyDOS, you are probably still
- under the impression that GEOS is slow
- and clunky.
-
- Don't say that around Dale Sidebottom.
- With GEOS (and Wheels), he can use
- a PostScript printer to produce
- [anything] a PC or Mac can do.
- Anything. Our dear C-64 is a real
- alternative to any other platform --
- and an alternative that we can "get
- into" and try anything our minds can
- imagine.
-
- [Anything]!
