  19.         Has Outgrown Its Home

  21. VALLEY STREAM, NEW YORK - February 12,
  22. 2004- The organizers of Classic Gaming
  23. Expo announced today that the 2004
  24. Classic Gaming Expo will be held
  25. August 21 and 22 at the San Jose
  26. Convention Center in San Jose,
  27. California. Citing ever-growing
  28. attendance, the organizers were
  29. compelled to seek larger quarters for
  30. their seventh annual event; the video
  31. gaming industry's largest show
  32. dedicated to the preservation and
  33. celebration of video game history.

  35.     "We're very excited about the
  36. show's move to the heart of the video
  37. game industry," said John Hardie,
  38. co-founder of CGE Services
  39. Corporation. "Las Vegas has been very
  40. good to us, but over the past couple
  41. of years attendance has risen to the
  42. point that it was getting a little
  43. crowded there. We also felt that since
  44. many of our alumni and sponsors were
  45. located on the West Coast, not to
  46. mention a larger collector base and
  47. game press, it would be more
  48. convenient and comfortable for
  49. everyone if the show was relocated to
  50. California."

  52.     According to Hardie, this year's
  53. Classic Gaming Expo will utilize more
  54. than 30,000 square feet of exhibit
  55. space in the San Jose Convention
  56. Center. The main show floor will see
  57. an increase of over 7,000 square feet
  58. while the keynote speaker room and
  59. museum of gaming history will double
  60. in size.

  62.     In 2003 over 1400 people attended
  63. Classic Gaming Expo to see the latest
  64. offerings from the various exhibitors,
  65. visit the world's most comprehensive
  66. video game museum, play classic and
  67. modern games, and meet the luminaries
  68. of video gaming's past and present. In
  69. the history of the show such notable
  70. personalities as Nolan Bushnell, Ralph
  71. Baer, Jay Smith, David Crane and
  72. hundreds of other celebrities have
  73. attended and spoken to the attendees.
  74. Show co-organizers John Hardie, Sean
  75. Kelly and Joe Santulli expect the move
  76. to San Jose to further increase
  77. attendance and bring more industry
  78. pioneers to the show.

  81. been considered for the past couple of
  82. years but finding a suitable location
  83. and making arrangements to move and
  84. store our vast archive of material has
  85. taken a great deal of time and
  86. effort," said Hardie. "We look forward
  87. to the continued support of our past
  88. patrons as well as the new friends
  89. we'll make in California." Classic
  90. Gaming Expo is open to anyone with an
  91. interest in video games - both classic
