  14.   BUDGET-MASTER is for those who might
  15.  
  16. have a little problem when it comes
  17.  
  18. to managing expenses.  The program is
  19.  
  20. a friendly, menu-oriented budget
  21.  
  22. manager.  It allows you to manage up
  23.  
  24. to 16 different expenses per month.
  25.  
  26. The program records the ideal and real
  27.  
  28. expenses for each month, the amount of
  29.  
  30. money left after expenses, and the
  31.  
  32. difference between real and ideal. In
  33.  
  34. addition, the program can create
  35.  
  36. reports for one to twelve months.
  37.  
  38.   When entering any money amounts,
  39.  
  40. always remember to use the plus (+) or
  41.  
  42. minus (-) signs.  This program
  43.  
  44. requires you to use these.

  46. *** NOTE ***
  47.  
  48.   If you happen to press RUN/STOP
  49.  
  50. while in the middle of running the
  51.  
  52. program, simply type GOTO 100 and
  53.  
  54. press RETURN.  After this, you will be
  55.  
  56. returned to the main menu.

  58. **** VERY SPECIAL NOTE ****
  59.  
  60.   In the original version of BUDGET-
  61.  
  62. MASTER, you had to change DATA
  63.  
  64. statements to customize the program
  65.  
  66. for your own situation.  Because we
  67.  
  68. at LOADSTAR thought this wasn't a
  69.  
  70. great idea, we decided to modify the
  71.  
  72. program a bit.  Now, instead of DATA
  73.  
  74. statements, the information is kept
  75.  
  76. in a SEQuential file that is named
  77.  
  78. 'BUDGET.FILE'.  We have also added the
  79.  
  80. option to 'Generate/alter catagories'.
  81.  
  82. It is the first option in the main
  83.  
  84. of the program.  When you choose this
  85.  
  86. option, you can change either the
  87.  
  88. actual catagories (such as rent, food,
  89.  
  90. etc..) or you can change the ideal
  91.  
  92. amounts for each catagory.  To change
  93.  
  94. any item, simply input its number when
  95.  
  96. the computer asks 'change which?'.
  97.  
  98. You will then be asked for the new
  99.  
  100. catagory or amount.  If you decide you
  101.  
  102. don't won't to change it, simply press
  103.  
  104. RETURN.  After you have input the
  105.  
  106. new information, all of the catagories
  107.  
  108. or amounts will be reprinted to the
  109.  
  110. screen.  You will now have the chance
  111.  
  112. to change anything else.  By pressing
  113.  
  114. '\', you will return to a small menu
  115.  
  116. where you can choose to change some
  117.  
  118. more items.  From this small menu, you
  119.  
  120. can also return the the main menu by
  121.  
  122. pressing '\' again.  When you do this,
  123.  
  124. the BUDGET.FILE will be rewritten with
  125.  
  126. your new changes and you will be
  127.  
  128. returned to the main menu.  We hope
  129.  
  130. that this option will help you to
  131.  
  132. customize the program to fit your
  133.  
  134. individual needs.
