  4. your responsibilities as a "user" of the bbs.  Specifically they are:

  6. 1.  Actively encourage and promote the free exchange and discussion of
  7. information, ideas and opinions, except when the content would compromise
  8. the national security of the United States; violate proprietary rights,
  9. personal privacy, or applicable state/federal/local laws and regulations
  10. affecting telecommunications; or constitute a crime or libel.

  12. 2.  Use your REAL NAME and fully disclose any personal, financial, or
  13. commercial interest when evaluating any specific product or service.

  15. 3.  Adhere to these rules and notify me immediately when you discover any
  16. violations of the rules.

  18. FURTHER every user explicitly acknowledges that all information and
  19. software obtained from this BBS is provided "as is" without warranty of
  20. any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to the
  21. implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
  22. and that the entire risk of acting on information obtained from this BBS,
  23. including the entire costs of all necessary remedies, is with those who
  24. choose to act on such information and not the operator of this BBS.
  25. In addition, the operator of this BBS system is not responsible for the
  26. content of files which are uploaded to this BBS.  The user assumes full
  27. responsibility for the files he/she uploads and/or downloads and/or views.

  30. 4.  You agree that no liability of any kind for any matters relating directly
  31. or indirectly to your use, or the use of anyone else, whether authorized or
  32. not, of this computer system, will impugn to the system operator.  You agree
  33. to hold harmless and to indemnify the system operator from any action relating
  34. directly or indirectly to matters relating to this computer system.

  36. 5.  You acknowledge that messages may be offensive in content and agree not
  37. to bring any action of any kind against either the system operator or other
  38. users of the system as a result of the messages and their content available
  39. on this system.  Some messages are intended for users of 18 years of age
  40. or older, it is up to the users sole disgression in the material you access
  41. on this system.  The system operator disclaims any responsibility for results
  42. due to the accessing of this material by under age users.

  44. 6.  You expressly agree not to post offensive messages yourself or to
  45. encourage others to do so.

  47. 7.  You agree not to use the system for any illegal purpose or activity,
  48. or to discuss or advocate any illegal activities, whether in private or in
  49. public.  You agree not to do anything on this computer that may damage the
  50. computer hardware, software, or data files, or the system's operation in any
  51. way at all.  This includes operational checkouts of your system on this BBS.

  54.       (18 U.S.C. 2510 et seq.), notice is hereby given that there are no
  55.       facilities provided by this system for sending or receiving truly
  56.       private or confidential electronic communications.

  58. 8.  The System Operator can, and often will, read all messages left on this
  59. system, including "Private" messages addressed to persons other than the
  60. system operator, not normally available to other users.  The system operator
  61. reserves the right to delete any message, regardless of whether such message
  62. has been received by its intended recipient(s).  The system operator also
  63. reserves the right to change the status of a message designated "Private"
  64. so that such message is public and available to all callers.  The status
  65. of a message may be changed whenever, in the sole discretion of the system
  66. operator, it is believed appropriate to do so.  Your continued use of this
  67. BBS constitutes acceptance of the system operator's discretion in this
  68. regard.  Your Sysop will exercise the utmost discretion in this matter.

  70. 9.  You agree that the opinions expressed on this board do not necessarily
  71. reflect the views of anyone other than the person posting the message.

  73. 10. You have no rights of access to this system and may find your access
  74. restricted or removed and your messages censored or deleted at the system
  75. operator's absolute discretion.

  77. 11. If the purpose of your logging on to this BBS now or in the future is
  78. anything other than for personal use and recreation, you must leave
  79. the system operator a message specifically stating the purpose of your call.
  80. Failure to do so would be construed as entrapment if any legal action
  81. is taken against the system administrator at any time.

  84. Operator feedback saying what you do not agree with.
