- CDE (CADKEY Dynamic Extension) is a mechanism that let the
- programmers and developers add functionality to existing
- programs without rebuilding the entire application. The
- CDE mechanism works with applications written in many
- languages, within network environments, and across system
- platforms. To Run CDE program, choose one of the following
- options:

- OPEN - to open a CDE library

- Enter a valid filename and press <Enter>.

- LIST/OPN (list/open) - to list, select, and open a
- CDE library files from a designated directory.

- Enter the pathname for the CDE file directory, and
- press <Enter>. The default path in parentheses is the
- CDE file directory assigned in the CONFIG program. To
- accept the default directory, press <Enter>.

- A listing of all CDE filenames in the designated
- directory is displayed on the screen.

- CLOSE - to close (unload) a CDE library

- Enter a valid filename and press <Enter>.

- LIST/CLS (list/close) - to list, select, and close a
- CDE library files.

- A listing of all CDE filenames installed so far

- Choose the desired filename. The File will be closed.

- EXECUTE - to execute a CDE function.

- Enter a valid function name and press <Enter>.

- LIST/EXE (list/execute) - to list, select, and execute
- a CDE function from CDE library loaded.

- A listing of all CDE function name in the def file for
- the CDE library are loaded in alphabetical order.
