  1. AUTO aligns two instances by letting you choose a fixed
  2. instance and the instance you want to align. The instance
  3. you want to align uses the fixed instance as a reference.
  4. CADKEY aligns the two by figuring out the common axis
  5. between them.
  6.  
  7. To use AUTO, the scale of the drawing instances you want
  8. to align must be identical. You cannot align two instances
  9. with different drawing scales; if you try to, CADKEY
  10. displays an error message.

  12. To change the scale of individual instances use
  13. DETAIL, LAYOUT, INSTANCE, MODIFY, SCALE.

  15. CADKEY prompts you to select the fixed instance. Cursor
  16. select the fixed instance.

  18. Cursor select the instance you want to align to the
  19. fixed instance.

  21. CADKEY figures out the instances' common axis and 
  22. positions the drawing instance you chose to align in a 
  23. tracking path with the fixed instance.

  25. If CADKEY cannot align the axes of the two instances, it 
  26. automatically rotates the second instance so that it will
  27. align correctly.

  29. Cursor select a new alignment position along the tracking
  30. path.
