- FILE allows you to create a note by reading-in an existing
- ASCII text file from a disk. The note entity that you
- create contains a filename (including the drive, pathname,
- and extension) and text attributes.
-
- The note text for a file-based note is not stored in the
- part file or the program database. To draw, print, plot,
- or save a part file that contains a file-based note, the
- program must access the specified text file.
-
- Unlike the DETAIL, NOTE, DISK option, there is no size
- restriction for the text file that you use to create a
- file-based note.
-
- Enter the complete pathname and filename (including the
- correct extension) for the desired file and press <Enter>.
- If you do not specify a drive or pathname, the program
- searches for the text file in your note directory.
-
- Indicate a position for the note. The lower left corner of
- the first line in the note is used for positioning.
-
- To create another note with the same text file, indicate
- another position.
