- RUNNING allows you to create a superimposed running
- dimension, a chainlike series of dimensions that have one
- reference point (the baseline point) in common. Unlike
- baseline and chain dimensions, the text is placed at the
- top of the witness line and the text's angle is the same
- as the witness line. The dimensions are all displayed at
- the witness line height indicated. You can select a
- maximum of 50 reference points for baseline dimensions.
-
- Select the axis for the superimposed running dimensions by
- choosing from the following options.
-
- HORIZTL - to display superimposed running dimensions
- horizontally between the selected points.
-
- VERTICL - to display superimposed running dimensions
- vertically between the selected points.
-
- PARALEL - to display superimposed running dimensions
- parallel to the general direction of the
- selected points, according to the indicated axis
- position. Indicate the axis you want as your
- dimension axis by selecting two positions.
-
- Indicate the base position of the dimension, which is the
- common reference point for the superimposed running
- dimensions.
-
- Using a Position Menu option, select a position to
- indicate the witness line height. This position is used to
- calculate the witness and leader lines for each dimension.
-
- Select, in any order, the positions to measure by choosing
- options from the Position Menu.
-
- As the positions are selected, the dimensions are
- displayed, extending from the common base point to the
- indicated point. The dimension text is placed over the new
- point's witness line, parallel to that line's angle and at
- the indicated witness line height.
-
- Indicate whether or not you want to accept the dimensions.
- If you choose NO, the dimension, its leader lines, and the
- temporary witness lines are deleted. You are prompted to
- indicate a position to dimension to. If you choose YES,
- the dimension is accepted and is displayed along with its
- witness lines.
