- ENTS allows you to create a specified number of segments
- on a selected curve entity at equal lengths. The create
- segments are of the same type as the selected entity
- (e.g., if an arc is selected as a reference entity,
- segments are created as arcs).
-
- Enter the desired number of segments (from 1 to 500) and
- press <Enter>.
-
- Select a desired curve reference entity, on which the new
- entity segments are to be created. If an arc or circle
- entity is selected, identify the portion of the circle to
- create entity segments by entering desired start and end
- angles (in degrees). The current start and end angles of
- the reference entity are displayed in parentheses. Press
- <Enter> to accept these angles, or type new values and
- press <Enter> for each prompt.
-
- A series of x markers is drawn on the reference entity to
- indicate where the segmentation is to be performed. Choose
- from the NO/YES menu displayed to accept these markers
- (YES) or reselect a new entity for segmentation (NO).
-
- Choose to group entities from the NO/YES menu displayed.
- When YES is chosen, you are prompted to enter a group
- name.
-
- Enter a group name and press <Enter>, or accept the one
- displayed in parentheses by pressing <Enter>. A check is
- performed by the system to see if the group already
- exists. If so, you are asked if you want to create a
- subgroup.
-
- Choose YES or NO from the menu. If you choose YES, another
- subgroup is created.
-
- The entity segments are created and take on the current
- color, line type, line width, pen number, and level.
