  1. GROUP allows you to link entities together so they can be
  2. selected individually or as a complete unit using the 
  3. group name or cursor selection.
  4.  
  5. Choose from the following options:
  6.  
  7. MAKE - to group selected entities so they are treated as 
  8. one complete entity. When a group is created for the first
  9. time, the first available subgroup is subgroup number 1.
  10. Additional entities can be added to this subgroup or any 
  11. one of the 256 subgroups available.
  12.  
  13. Enter a group name (up to eight characters in length) and
  14. press <Enter>. If the name exists, a prompt is displayed,
  15. indicating that the group already exists and asking if you
  16. want to create a subgroup. If you want to store more
  17. entities under the same group name, choose YES. If no
  18. subgroups are available (all 256 have been used), an error
  19. message is displayed and you can be returned to the GROUP
  20. menu.

  22. Choose a Selection Menu option and select the entities
  23. to be grouped. If previously grouped entities were
  24. selected, you can reassign these entities to the new group
  25. using one of the following selection methods:
  26.  
  27. - by group
  28. - by subgroup
  29. - by entity

  31. After selection, the entities are grouped and the 
  32. Selection Menu is redisplayed.

  35. ADD TO - to add entities to an existing group.
  36.  
  37. Enter an existing group name to which to add entities. If
  38. the group exists, enter an existing subgroup number to
  39. which the new selected entities are added. Enter the
  40. desired subgroup number.

  42. If a nonexistent group is entered, an error message is
  43. displayed indicating that the group does not exist. Choose
  44. the group list option to make sure you have spelled the 
  45. name correctly and/or that it does exist.

  47. Select the entities to add to the subgroup using a
  48. Selection Menu option.

  50. Press <Enter> when selection is complete; the entities
  51. selected are added to the specified subgroup and the
  52. Selection Menu is redisplayed for further selection.

  55. DEGROUP - to ungroup selected entities without removing 
  56. the group and subgroup references.

  58. Choose a Selection Menu option and select the entities 
  59. that you want to ungroup. If a selected entity is part of 
  60. a group or subgroup, you can reassign these entities to 
  61. the new group using one of the following selection 
  62. methods:
  63.  
  64.    - by group
  65.    - by subgroup
  66.    - by entity
  67.  
  68. When the selections are complete, press <Enter>. The
  69. selected entities are degrouped but the group reference
  70. still remains in the group table. Use the DELETE option to
  71. remove the group completely.

  74. DELETE - to erase a group from the group table without
  75. deleting its grouped entities (those contained in the
  76. subgroups).

  78. Enter the name of the group you want to delete. If the 
  79. group exists, its reference is deleted from the group 
  80. table and its entities are degrouped (not deleted).

  82. If a nonexistent group name is entered, an error message 
  83. is displayed indicating that the group does not exist.

  85. Press <Enter> and check to make sure you have spelled the
  86. group name correctly.

  88. LIST - to display a listing of the groups and subgroups in 
  89. the current part.
