- BX MOVE (box move) allows you to move entities and to
- modify selected portions of entities.
-
- Place a rubberbox window around the entities you want to
- move or modify by cursor-indicating the first corner of
- the window and then cursor-indicating the second corner.
-
- Perform a box move by choosing the following options:
-
- X-Y-Z - to move entities and to modify selected portions
- of entities by assigning x, y, and z delta view
- coordinates. Enter a value for the delta x, y, and z
- view coordinate placements. The selected entities are
- automatically moved to this new location or modified
- according to the designated positions.
-
-
- BASE PT - to move entities and to modify selected portions
- of entities by designating base point positions.
- Use a rubberbox window to surround the desired entity(ies)
- to be moved or portion of the entity(ies) to be modified.
- The two corners of this window are designated by
- positioning the cursor and pressing the space bar or a
- cursor button.
-
- Indicate the current base position and the new base
- position of the selected entities using a Position Menu
- option. The selected entities are moved using
- this as their common placement point.
-
- The selected entities are moved automatically to this new
- location or modified according to the designated base
- position(s).
-
-
- NOTE THE FOLLOWING IF YOU ARE SELECTING ENTITIES TO BE
- MOVED:
-
- POINTS, LINES, ARCS, CIRCLES, POLYLINES, POLYGONS, CONICS
- must be surrounded entirely by the rubberbox window.
-
- SPLINES - the spline's node points must be surrounded
- entirely by the rubberbox window.
-
- DIMENSIONS (LINEAR, RADIUS, ORDINATE, ANGULAR, DIAMETER) -
- the entire dimension and its reference points must be
- surrounded by the rubberbox window. The dimensions can
- only be translated in the x and y directions of the view
- plane.
-
- LEADER/WITNESS LINES, NOTES, LABELS, GENERIC DIMENSIONS,
- CROSS-HATCHING - these entities must be surrounded
- entirely by the rubberbox window; they can only be
- translated in the x and y directions of the view plane.
-
-
- NOTE THE FOLLOWING IF YOU ARE SELECTING ENTITIES TO BE
- MODIFIED:
-
- LINES - to stretch, compress, or modify the angle of line
- entities, only one endpoint must be surrounded by the
- rubberbox window; the other endpoint must remain anchored.
-
- POLYLINES/POLYGONS - to stretch or compress the entity,
- surround the designated vertices of the polyline or
- polygon with the rubberbox window.
-
- LINEAR DIMENSIONS - to automatically update dimensions
- when the corresponding entity is altered. Linear
- dimensions can only be translated in the x and y
- directions of the view plane.
-
- ANGULAR DIMENSIONS - to automatically update dimensions
- when the angle between the modified line and remaining
- line being dimensioned is changed. Angular dimensions can
- only be translated in the x and y directions of the view
- plane.
-
- ORDINATE DIMENSIONS - to automatically update ordinate
- dimensions.
-
- LEADER/WITNESS LINES - to stretch, compress, or modify the
- angle of the leader or witness lines, only one endpoint
- must be surrounded by the rubberbox window; the other
- endpoint must remain anchored. Leader and witness lines
- can only be translated in the x and y directions of the
- view plane.
