- CONIC allows you to construct a conic section such as
- an ellipse, hyperbola, or parabola.
-
- Create a conic by choosing from the following options:
-
- 5 COND (five conditions) - to create an ellipse,
- hyperbola, or parabola, by indicating two, three, four,
- or five points through which the entity will pass.
-
- 6 COEFF (six coefficients) - to create an ellipse,
- hyperbola, or parabola, by entering values for the six
- coefficients of the following equation, which is the
- general quadratic representation of a conic.
-
- A*x^2 + B*x*y + C*y^2 + D*x + E*y + F = 0
-
- PARABOL - to create a parabola by defining the directrix,
- the focus, and the entity's start point and endpoint.
-
- ELLIPSE - to create an elliptical arc by defining
- the length and orientation of the major and minor axes,
- and the start, end, and center points of the entity.
