- STRING allows you to create a polyline entity by
- indicating a series of points and stringing the vertices
- of the polyline to the desired shape.
-
- Indicate the start position for the polyline, using a
- Position Menu option. Note that "rubberbanding" occurs
- when the cursor is moved from the last indicated position.
-
- Indicate the positions for each subsequent vertex in the
- string.
-
- End the polyline by choosing the BACK-UP option twice or
- pressing <Enter> when the polyline is complete. When
- storing the polyline, close its start and endpoints by
- choosing YES from the next NO/YES menu. End the polyline
- at the current, specified endpoint by choosing NO.
-
- When entering values, pressing the <Enter> key is not
- accepted as a zero (0) assignment. Pressing the <Enter>
- key indicates that you finished creating a polyline.
-
- In 2-D construction mode, the vertices are projected to
- the current construction plane, and the polygon is created
- in the construction plane.
-
- In 3-D construction mode, the polygon is created using the
- 3-D coordinates of the indicated vertices.
