- POLYLIN allows you to create polylines.
-
- A polyline is made up of one continuous entity, and
- therefore, must always be manipulated as a unit. Because
- this function supports methods similar to the LINE
- function, it may be helpful to use line entities for
- creating a part requiring extensive editing.
-
- Use polyline entities when you assign line widths greater
- than one. This results in "filled" or continuous corners
- on a shape with more than one side.
-
- Closed polyline entities can be filled using the OUT/FIL
- option described in CONTROL, ATTRIB. For easier selection,
- fill desired polylines after you have finished
- manipulating them.
-
- Create a polyline by choosing from the following options:
-
- STRING - to create a polyline entity by indicating a
- series of points and stringing the vertices of the
- polyline to the desired shape.
-
- RECTANG - to create a rectangular polyline entity (four
- sides) by indicating positions for opposite corners, or by
- specifying its width and height.
-
- N-GON - to create a polyline polygon by specifying the
- desired number of sides, rotation angle, radius, radius
- type (flat or corner), and center position.
-
- SKETCH - to generate a continuous polyline entity along
- a selected number of vertices.
-
- MESH - to generate a polyline mesh approximation of a
- two-curve, three-curve, or four-curve swept surface; a
- tabulated cylinder; a surface of revolution; a sphere;
- or ruled surface.
