  1. ALONGC allows you to segment a curve by creating one point
  2. on the curve at a specified distance from a selected
  3. endpoint.

  5. Enter the desired distance and press <Enter>, or press
  6. <Enter> to accept the default value of 1.00.

  8. Select the curve near the desired endpoint.

  10. If the specified distance is greater than the length of 
  11. the curve or less than .00005, an error message is 
  12. displayed. You are prompted to press <Enter> and to enter 
  13. a new distance.
