  3. Places a symbol and text in the model.
  4.  
  5.       first time command executed in current session:
  6.          1.  (CHAR) symbol name (1-8 char.), <ENTER> - graphic library
  7.       any other time command executed and after specifying a symbol in
  8.       prompt 1:
  9.          2.* (POINT) place (Alt+ 1-Y sym, 2-X sym, 3-any, 4-def, 5-large,
  10.                                                       6-small, <Ent>-setting)
  11.       if you press <ENTER> in prompt 2:
  12.          3.* (Y/N) y-new symbol, n-new factor, <ENTER>-new direction
  13.       if you reply `y' in prompt 3, you are returned to prompt1.
  14.       if you reply `n' in prompt 3:
  15.          4.* (NUM) NEW size factor (current: curr. factor )
  16.          5.* (NUM) NEW angle increment (current: curr. angle)
  17.       if you press <ENTER> in prompt 3:
  18.          4.* (POINT) first direction point
  19.          5.* (POINT) second direction point
  20.       if you place the symbol in prompt 2:
  21.          3.* (CHAR) text (up to 40 chars.), <ENTER> for 0.00

  23. Description
  24. This command places a symbol from the symbol library at a specified position
  25. in the model.  The first time you execute this command in a work session, you
  26. are first prompted to enter the name of the symbol to be used, or to press
  27. <ENTER> to select a symbol from the graphic library.  This symbol will be the
  28. default for the current session until a new symbol is set.
  29.  
  30. Before you position the symbol, you have a number of options:
  31.  
  32.    Alt + 1 Change the symbol about the Y axis.
  33.    Alt + 2 Change the symbol about the X axis.
  34.    Alt + 3 Change the angle increment.
  35.    Alt + 4 Change the size and angle of the symbol back to its original size
  36.            and angle.
  37.    Alt + 5 Increase the size of the symbol by a factor. Each subsequent time
  38.            you press <Alt> + 5 the symbol will increase in size by the size
  39.            factor.
  40.    Alt + 6 Decrease the size of the symbol by a factor. Each subsequent time
  41.            you press <Alt> + 5 the symbol will decrease in size by the size
  42.            factor.
  43.    ENTER   Specify a new symbol, change the size factor and angle increment,
  44.            or change the direction of the symbol.

  46. If you press <ENTER> in prompt 2, you may press `y' to specify a new symbol,
  47. `n' to change the size factor and angle increment, or press <ENTER> again to
  48. change the direction of the symbol.  If you press `y', you are returned to
  49. prompt 1.  If you press `n', enter the new size factor and angle increment.
  50. If you press <ENTER> enter the first direction point and the second direction
  51. point.

  53. NOTE 1: The size set will be the default size for the symbol until the size is
  54. changed or a new symbol is set.
  55. NOTE 2: The size set will be used for the size of the symbol in the \rndim
  56. command.

  58. Once you have the desired symbol, position it at the desired location in the
  59. model.

  61. Specify the text to appear beside the symbol. If you reqire the text "0.00"
  62. press ENTER. If you enter text, it will be come the default text for further
  63. placments of the same symbol. Press ENTER to accept the previous text or type
  64. new text.

  66. Creating new symbols
  67. To create new symbols, you have to draw the symbol and place it into the
  68. library using the \olib command.  Ensure that the origin point of the drawing
  69. is the point at which you want the text to be justified.
