- Description
- This command enables you to draw user defined lines or linear patterns. A
- limited library of linear patterns (codes a-r) is provided with the system.
-
- The linear patterns must be created in an orthogonal view (xy, yz, and xz
- planes). They cannot be seen in any other view.
-
- Specify the code of the pattern (any single ASCII character) or select a
- pattern from the pull-down graphic library. Specify a line color for the
- pattern to appear in.
-
- Specify whether the size is to be scaled or fixed. If it is scaled (default),
- the size of the pattern will change according to the scale when placing. If
- it is fixed it will remain at the specified size irrespective of the placing
- scale. This is equivalent to defining a new line type. (See \tscrn and
- \atext for diagrams of the effects on scaled and fixed texts.)
-
- Define the size of the pattern. This size operates in the same way as the
- text size set in the \tsize command. If you are working in a metric unit,
- specify a size in mm. The default size is the same as the current text size.
- When working in feet, specify the size in the current format of display.
-
- Since the location of the pattern is defined by two points, you are asked
- whether the pattern is to be displayed above, below, or on the imaginary line
- that connects those two points.
-
- Define the location of the pattern by specifying the first and subsequent
- points on screen.
-
- At any stage during the creation of the linear pattern you may reset the
- current pattern attributes.
-
- NOTE: The patterns are defined in the font file called ARCPATRN.TBF.
- Therefore, if you wish to update or add a pattern (\fonte), enter the font
- editor using this file name (no extension required). Do not attempt to define
- patterns using the upper-case letters A to Z! When creating a linear pattern,
- the system aligns the enclosing box of the pattern (the grid in the font
- editor) on the direction line.
